Bridgender Gap Global – Empowering Disadvantaged Women and Girls
Bridgender Gap Global is a non-profit, non-religious, and apolitical NGO. Founded in 2017, in Bamenda in the Northwest Region of Cameroon. Bridgender Gap Global works on bridging the inequality gap, focusing mainly on empowering socially and economically disadvantaged women and girls in Cameroon .
The Organization advocates for gender equality and promote women’s empowerment in communities in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 5 which is, to “…Achieve Gender Equality and Empower all Women and Girls”. Bridgender Gap Global is doing so, through promoting and advocating for women’s empowerment by addressing social and economic gaps of marginalized and underprivileged women and girls who are:
- victims of gender-based violence
- victims of conflict – such as refugees, IDPs and asylum seekers
- excluded from mainstream livelihoods
- unable to afford basic education and training
- suffering with obstetric fistula

It is said When you Empower a Woman in Africa you empower a whole Community.
The significance of women’s empowerment cannot be overstated. However, economic empowerment as a component of women empowerment is essential for women to achieve true independence i.e., Reduce their dependent on their husbands and their families. The Bridgender Gap Global programme provide skills that would equip women with an income-generating endeavour that would allow them to supplement household income and meet their needs

Yvonne Leina Chi is an award winning international journalist and Women’s Rights Activist.She is Founder and CEO of the Women Relief Services where she joins forces with local women to combat harmful cultural practices against women and girls in African Communities.She is also the Global Outreach Strategist for

Grace is the CEO of Adelaar Energy and an advisory board member of the African Energy Chamber. She commenced her professional journey as an audit staff at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) before she transitioned to the energy industry. She started off as a Business Planning and Economic Analyst for Shell Cameroon and then worked as a Business Analyst and Economist for Shell Nigeria for several years. She also worked as a senior manager (business planning and economics) at a medium-sized multi-national company, Addax Petroleum (SINOPEC Company) before moving to Eroton Exploration & Production Company, one of Nigeria’s biggest indigenous startups where she served as a senior manager in Business strategy and economics.
